49-36
/Things looked grimm for awhile, but Beltre powered the Rangers to a win. Yeah, there's still that whole thing about Elvis Andrus being beyond cold at the plate and his defense not being up to his normal standard, the part where there is still some concern about Lance Berkman falling apart, but hey, in the end, it all worked out.
Martin Perez, once the prize of the farm system for the Rangers, is seemingly finally delivering on part of his promising talent, and he set the stage for the team to be in the ball game in the later innings. It wasn't the prettiest win, but it was a win on Independence Day, and fans got to enjoy fireworks and a win.
