The Rangers are 24-25

Cool win, right?

It's always nice when it's tough to decide who should be named player of the game. Nick Martinez worked the strike zone while beautifully navigating the tough Detroit middle of the order. He capped his day off by inducing a double-play line drive and finished with 6.0 innings pitched on 8 hits, a walk, 2 strikeouts, and only 1 earned run.

On the offensive side, every Ranger in the starting lineup got a hit, but Rougned Odor -- who at 20 years old is the youngest in Major League Baseball -- stole the show with 2 clean triples and a bloop double while going 4-for-5 with 5 RBI.

In the end, the final 12-2 margin proved too difficult for the Tigers to overcome, and the Rangers will at least earn a series split in Detroit, which is the kind of thing you'd like to see against one of the top teams in the American League.

Now, a series win tomorrow would be icing on the cake.
