The Rangers are 35-41
/This team, ravaged by injuries, just isn't very good.
The Rangers are in midst of one of the worst stretches of baseball I can remember over the past decade. Sure, there were some pitiful teams, but many of those teams could hit. This current iteration simply can't put anything together well enough to get the job done.
From Elvis Andrus being clotheslined by Miguel Cabrera between 1st and 2nd to end the inning -- don't even get me started on how it doesn't sit with me that a player that doesn't have the ball can essentially tackle a guy -- to a disastrous outing for the pitching staff... well, you're just not going to win games playing baseball like this.
In a sense, it's not their fault. There have been plenty of injuries. Yet, I can't help but feel like enough wind has been knocked out of the sails that anyone not named Beltre is just ready for this whole thing to be over. Oh, speaking of Beltre, he was 4-for-4 tonight, so I guess there's that.
