Monday Morning Rangers Strikes

This time a week from now, we'll be waiting for the evening's opening game for the Rangers. If that doesn't get you excited, I've got nothing for you.

  • In case you missed it, Nick Martinez was named the 5th starter yesterday by Jeff Banister. After a solid Spring Training thus far, it was pretty tough to imagine any other outcome, but it's nice to at least have an official rotation now.
     
  • Derek Holland feels fueled up, energized, and ready to use his mostly-lost 2014 as motivation to put up a strong 2015 season.
     
  • Nick Tepesch did his thing yesterday, giving up 7 runs in 3.2 innings. So, not so good for his chances of winning that long-relief job.
     
  • Keone Kela had yet another scoreless outing yesterday. At this point, he'd probably have to explode a knee to not be in the bullpen to start the season.
